Since 2026, mandatory labeling of auto parts in the Honest Sign system has been introduced. Each part will receive a unique code (Data Matrix) – a kind of "passport" with a complete history from production to sale.
- from September 2026 – registration of spare parts;
- from December 2026 – the beginning of labeling;
- from 2027 – full control of turnover.
The labeling will affect: filters, spark plugs, brake pads, discs, glasses, oils, and more. The list will be expanded.
Opinions are divided about the price increase: the authorities say "no", and the market expects growth (but small – up to 1%).
It is believed that the counterfeit will not completely disappear. But it will become noticeably smaller due to transparency and tracking.
It is also important to understand that labeling is a quality guarantee. It shows the origin of the part, but not how good it really is.
As a result, the system will make the market more transparent, but not perfect. Fakes will remain, and prices may rise slightly.
